About Us
英英楽習館とは
英英楽習館は、英英辞典を「使いこなせる語彙力」の習得を目的とした英語学習支援サイトです。
英語学習において最も重要でありながら、多くの学習者がつまずき、また教育現場でも十分に指導されてこなかったのが語彙力強化です。
多くの学習者は、
「単語帳で暗記するしかない」
「覚えてもすぐに忘れてしまう」
という壁にぶつかります。
英英楽習館では、こうした課題の原因を「日本語訳暗記中心の学習」にあると捉え、英英定義と例文を使って考えながら意味を理解する学習法を体系的なメソッドとして提供しています。
学習メソッドの特徴
英英楽習館では、英英辞典をいきなり使わせることはしません。
英検3級レベルからでも無理なく取り組めるよう、以下の3段階ステップで学習を進めます。
基礎編
語注と選択肢付きの問題を通して、英英定義の読み方・考え方に慣れる段階です。
まずは「英語で意味を考える」こと自体に抵抗をなくします。
標準編
語注を外し、英英定義と例文から意味を判断する力を養います。
文脈を手がかりに意味を推測する力が自然と身につきます。
実戦編
選択肢も語注もない状態で、英英定義と例文のみから語の意味を理解します。
これは、英英辞典を実際に使うのと同じレベルの学習です。
このステップを踏むことで、英英辞典を「難しくて挫折するもの」から
「語彙力を伸ばす強力な武器」へと変えていきます。

1963年福島県生まれ。仙台市在住。
長年にわたり、予備校英語講師として多くの受験生を指導する中で、かつての自分自身を含め、英単語の暗記に苦手意識を持つ受験生が非常に多いことに課題意識を持つ。
